RMIS Fluid Conditioning Services will remove harmful contaminants such as water, dirt and dissolved gasses from lubricating oils. Oils that are clean and have a reduced amount of contaminants will have a lower oxidation rate, better hydrolytic stability and exhibit better water separability. The result is better lubrication and extended equipment life with reduced operating costs and decreased unscheduled down time. RMIS has the experience and equipment utilizing the latest technology for reconditioning all types of oils from ISO 5 spindle or transformer oil to ISO 1000 heavy gear and circulating lube oils.
ISO Cleanliness Codes and Water Contamination are used in industry to describe the condition of circulating fluids. A reduction in contamination levels of several ISO code numbers can extend the life of a machine component by up to 10 times. Likewise, a reduction in parts per million of water from 1000 ppm to 100 ppm can result in a component life increase of over 3 times.

RMIS Fluid Conditioning Services consists of a preliminary assessment by trained technicians to determine the fluid’s condition. A report describing the benefits and estimated cost for reconditioning services is provided.
